Sussex Tech's Rachel Southmayd wins 2009 Citizens Coalition Quality of Life Award
The Citizens Coalition Inc. recently presented an Environmental Awareness/Quality of Life Award and a $500 savings bond to Sussex Tech student Rachel Southmayd of Ocean View for her essay about the recycling center located on her school campus. Southmayd and her fellow students started the recycling program at Sussex Tech and have since expanded it to other schools.
