Recent Citiizens Coalition Advocacies
Citizens Coalition continues to be a force in Sussex County in either taking the lead on major issues like the Lingo Townsend re-zoning application or helping HOA's and subdivisions fight land use issues.

- Letter to Sussex County Planning & Zoning regarding the Brickyard Landing subdivision (click here) - March 21, 2011
- We answered a community request for support against the Brickyard Landing development. Testimony was sent only to Sussex County Planning & Zoning because this was a subdivision and not required to go to Sussex County Council. We influenced Sussex County Planning & Zoning to send this application to Dover for a PLUS review. Ultimately the developer was required to reduce the development to 37 units and face a host of conditions to preserve the historic brick yard.

- We are involved in the Wandendale issue and will continue to force the issue that this plant is in violation of the Coastal Zone Act. We have joined three other groups who are seeking to reverse the decision to allow this large waste treatment plant on the inland bay.
